Caring for Carers (Feb 2018)

Caring for Carers (Feb 2018)

Introduction
In aid of supporting the well-being of carers, Caring for Carers is programme designed to offer a helping hand to care professionals working 45- 80 hour weeks.

Inspired by the online survey ‘In Sickness and in Health’, The Public Purse aims to deliver a programme that creates benefits to improve the well-being and health of the individual carer.

Why Care?
Recent research has shown that Carers working between 45 – 80 hours a week, struggle to perform daily tasks such as cleaning, cooking and exercise due to timing restrictions and fatigue. Further research has shown carers on 80 hour weeks are still struggling to afford to live.
